THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand. Isaiah 28:2

The Lord gives us the storm and he will protect us from the storm. We are getting ready for a potential ice storm. The kids are rather excited that the electricity might be turned off as i keep explaining to them what we will be doing. The love the fact of sleeping in the dining room by the fireplace... i on the other hand could do without the backbreaking floor as a mattress. LOL
All anna Claire can think about is smores and creative things to do in the dark. All Justin and I can think about is hauling wood in the house and keeping that fire going all night..a playpen in the dining room housing a sleepy 7 month old and a 3 yr old and 4 yr old never going to sleep for the excitement and keeping poor Eli awake. I also cannot help to think that i need to wash all the dishes, vacuum all the floors make sure all my laundry is done, and what will i do without my hair straightener?! I sometimes wish our minds were like that of children because of thier optimistic outlook 24/7. Oh, how great it is to be a child! It doesn't take much to keep out children happy. We buy a plum for Anna and she thinks she has gone straight to Heaven! We push Ezra in the swing and he thinks he is Superman right out of a movie! I think you get my point... we as adults never need to lose that sense of imagintion and excitment that children have. Let's all start looking for the positive in all things.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Phillippians 2:5

Let's all try to have the same attitude as Jesus had!
