Cane Creek Rehab!

Well, yesterday was a busy day to say the least... It started by Justin having to be at Paris Post Office at 6 for mail count .. ugh, I think I dislike mail count more than he does! Anyway, he went to get tires on the truck and then returned home by 11:30..just in the nick of time. We picked up Pa at his house to meet the ambulance carrying Granny to Cane Creek Rehab in Martin. We found her in her room and BOY was I suprised! She had changed so much in the last 2 weeks since I had saw her! She was so much alert and I could tell she felt better. Cane Creek is so clean and "un-nursing home like". I think they will get to business on Monday with Granny and have her walking in no time. She was very tired from the rough car ride and told me Tennessee needed new roads. haha She got to see the baby, Ezra and Anna.. It was a great trip.. She is a trooper. I have no doubt in her success. She can feel her left arm now and her vision has came back to her left eye .. we don't know how much. Just by looking at it I could tell it was better...and in her words.. m"Allie, I am not stupid.. I know when I can see out of my eye!" lol
The nurse touched her hand with Granny laying flat on her backand not able to see her hand and asked several questions and Granny passed with flying colors! The Physical Therapist Director said she was doing awesome and couldn't believe she was doing so well for the stroke she had. Granny also passed a memory test (that by the way, Justin had a hard time passing) . Her feeding tube is doing well so maybe when her appetite comes back she will be able to have that thing taken out! She has eaten mashed potatoes, pureed corn and juice. They have a strict schedule there and I am happy for it because that means they are working hard to get her home! We are all going to stragger out our visits where someone is always there during visiting hours! I cannot wait to go back and talk to her! Ezra told her "Get well soon!"... Eli kept trying to hold her hand and Granny loved that! Anna didn't like seeing Granny in the big hospital bed but she was sweet... Anymore updates and I wil let you know!
